A nice family is looking for a reliable, easygoing, and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cook.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10 AM–6/7 PM, plus two Saturdays per month. An additional weekday off can be arranged when working a Saturday.

Compensation: $30–$40/hour, DOE.

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• General housekeeping and maintaining a clean, organized home
• Laundry and ironing
• Preparing simple family meals (recipes will be provided)
• Occasional childcare for the family's 5- and 3-year-old children when the nanny is off. The position is 90% housekeeping/cooking and 10% childcare.

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping and cooking experience in private family homes, with strong references
• Excellent English skills
• Kosher cooking experience is a plus, but not required
• Must be comfortable working in a home with children
• The family spends a few days in the Hamptons during the summer and would prefer someone willing to join them, although this is not required.
